Long before I invested in brands, I competed for one. As a competitive sailor representing the Netherlands, I learned what it means to carry a logo on your sail and to perform under it. It showed me that enduring brands aren’t defined by superior products alone. They stand for something bigger, creating belonging through sharp storytelling, bold collaborations, and an identity people are proud to represent.

Curiosity about how that impact is built, led me to McKinsey & Company. I wanted to understand the mechanics behind great consumer brands – how strategy, marketing, and execution come together to scale consumer businesses.  Over more than six years, and an MBA at Kellogg, I learned from exceptional leaders and saw global brands up close. But eventually I felt the pull to move closer to the action. Advising sharpened my thinking; building raised the stakes. I was especially drawn to the growth stage, where decisions matter immediately and momentum compounds. That’s what brought me to Vendis.

Sport also shaped a belief that guides my work: winning brands don’t just differentiate – they inspire. They earn loyalty because they stand for something clear. And just like in sport, success is never individual: it’s built on trust, shared ambition, and the willingness to challenge each other to improve.
‍

Today, I channel the same competitive energy into backing brands with the potential to be the next big thing. Outside of work, I recharge with my husband and daughter – exploring new places, discovering great food, or heading out for a run. I’m grateful for sharing my energy, drive, and curiosity with them.

I’ve always been fascinated about how businesses shape the world around us, and by the impact of allocating resources to great ideas and business models. At the same time, investing appealed to me because it allows me to keep learning across many disciples and stay curious.
‍

My path has been fairly international – Germany, US, the Netherlands and Hong Kong, and now working between Belgium and Germany. This has taught me to adapt to new environments quickly and listen before forming opinions. After university, I considered to go into research but quickly missed real-world execution – even though I still enjoy testing ideas and assumptions.

I’m excited by applying new insights, working with competent partners and colleagues, and conversations with people from different industries and backgrounds – there is always something to learn. Outside of work, I clear my head with various types of sports and like to have long dinners with friends and family.

I began my career in M&A at an American bank in Paris working closely with entrepreneurs. It was intense and demanding and what stayed with me wasn’t the pace, it was the entrepreneurs. I was drawn to their ambition and vision, and to the weight of responsibility they carried. Being part of their journey, helping them navigate challenges and take meaningful steps toward their goals is what truly pulled me in.

A few years later, I met three entrepreneurs, who were building what would become Vendis, a sector-specialist private equity fund focused on backing strong brands and entrepreneurs. The idea immediately resonated with me: not just providing capital but becoming a true partner; helping build teams, sharpen strategy, and create long-term value. In 2009, I took the leap, moved to Belgium and joined the adventure.

Since then, I’ve worked across categories, channels, and countries, always with the same focus: backing exceptional entrepreneurs and managers and helping assemble the right teams to scale great companies and build long lasting brands. In 2021, I moved back to France to accelerate our development there - in many ways, building something new again within the Vendis story.

Overtime, I’ve realized it comes down to people and trust. The right partnerships, with the right people, aligned around a shared objective and the confidence that everyone is pulling in the same direction - in good moments and in more challenging ones.

Today, I’m most energised by seeing the tangible, positive impact of our work on the businesses we support. Sharing the ups and downs of entrepreneurship with people you respect and genuinely enjoy working with is what makes it truly rewarding. Outside of work, I spend time with my wife and our three children, read history books, and watch old films, preferably in black and white.

I have always been driven by understanding how businesses create value and how strategic decisions translate into long-term performance. That curiosity naturally led me to private equity, where ownership, discipline, and value creation come together.

I began my career in leveraged finance, building a strong technical foundation in structuring and analysing transactions. I then joined a large-cap private equity platform, gaining exposure to investing at scale. Overtime, I realised I am most motivated when working closely with management teams, understanding operations in depth, and contributing beyond the deal itself to help drive meaningful change.
‍

At Vendis, this comes to life every day. In our office, the posters of our current and former portfolio companies line the wall. To me, they represent individual stories. With each investment, we experience successes, exciting milestones, and sometimes challenging moments. Every collaboration is valuable, united by the shared ambition to help a company grow and ultimately deliver a strong return. What I value most in this journey is working alongside motivated and interesting people: the Vendis team, management teams, advisors, and co-shareholders.

Outside of work, I stay active and regularly travel to Milan, where my girlfriend lives. Splitting my time between countries and staying close to friends helps me remain balanced and focused.

I have always been fascinated by entrepreneurs and the businesses they build. Early in my career, I worked in consulting and investment banking, advising companies on strategic and financial matters and developing a strong analytical discipline.

After completing my degree in Commercial Engineering at Louvain, I pursued further studies in Japanese Studies and later completed an MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, experiences that broadened my perspective on international business environments.

Over time, I became increasingly drawn to working closely with entrepreneurs and the energy of building companies. At Mitiska, I focused on investing in and developing consumer and retail platforms alongside founders and management teams, which reinforced my conviction that successful investing is built on being a specialist and on strong partnerships with entrepreneurs.

This conviction ultimately led us, together with Michiel,  to co-found Vendis. Since then, we have been building a team dedicated to partnering with founders of consumer brands and supporting them as they grow and expand internationally. Working alongside entrepreneurs and helping great brands reach their next stage of development is what I enjoy most about investing.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three daughters. Whenever possible, you will find me outdoors with family and friends — in the mountains, in the woods, or working on farming and forestry projects. I also enjoy travelling, taking photographs, and occasionally wandering through galleries in search of Symbolist and CoBrA artists.

During my studies, I was drawn to private equity, which I saw like the perfect bridge between finance and the real economy. I was fascinated by the idea that capital could actively shape companies, not just evaluate them from a distance. When I started in Investor Relations at Naxicap Partners in Paris, I had the chance to attend a sustainability conference. That moment shifted something for me. I realised that with a majority position, investors have a real opportunity, and responsibility, to influence how companies operate and grow.
‍

In 2021, after moving to Amsterdam, I decided to fully dedicate my work to sustainability and step away from Investor Relations. Joining PwC exposed me to a wide range of sectors and challenges. Advisory work taught me that sustainability cannot be a box-ticking exercise; it has to be embedded in operations and business models to be meaningful. I also learned that most leaders genuinely want to make progress. They understand that resilience and long-term value depend on it. But it takes time. Sustainability is a journey that requires patience, structure, on-going support, and the involvement of stakeholders across the entire value chain.

Over time, I’ve come to value impact and long-term resilience over short-term results. I feel fortunate to dedicate my work to helping companies operate within planetary boundaries. Being part of this transition, especially with the launch of the Vendis Transition fund, makes the journey tangible and deeply motivating.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family. I love living in Amsterdam, and I’m always happy to travel back to France to see friends and family — and enjoy a good croissant.

Growing up, I was naturally drawn to understanding the logic behind systems and finding more efficient ways to approach problems. That curiosity eventually translated into studying Industrial Engineering and Econometrics, where I developed a technical and analytical foundation that still shapes how I think and work today.

I started my career in private equity, where I was quickly exposed to the entrepreneurial reality behind businesses. Rather than working at a distance, I was closely involved with management teams, supporting them on both strategic and operational topics. This hands-on experience taught me that real progress rarely comes from theory alone. It comes from working side by side with entrepreneurs, understanding their challenges, and jointly turning ideas into practical actions.

What I enjoy most is the combination of analysis and a pragmatic, entrepreneurial mindset. Numbers and models provide direction, but it is collaboration, clear communication, and a willingness to adapt that ultimately drive sustainable growth. Being part of the journey of building and strengthening companies alongside founders and management teams is what continues to motivate me.

Outside of work, I like to spend my time sailing, golf, cooking, and being with friends and family.

I discovered early on that what energizes me most is working with people and making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. I started my career as a junior secretary, learning the fundamentals of organization and reliability. After a year and a half, I stepped into an executive assistant role supporting the CEO of a multinational. It was an opportunity to understand how decisions are made at the highest level and how much thoughtful support can truly make a difference.

Over the years, I have supported various C-level leaders in different international companies. My experience working with diverse cultures and languages has strengthened my ability to collaborate in multi cultural teams. Each organization had its own rhythm, expectations, and unspoken rules. I learned to observe carefully, adapt quickly, and take the best from every environment. Flexibility became my strongest asset. Every leader has a different working style, and I genuinely enjoy understanding what each person needs to perform at their best.

In my current role as Office Manager at Vendis, I thrive on variety. The dynamic nature of the role keeps me engaged, and I value the unexpected moments that require me to reprioritise and find practical solutions. I value working in an environment where people feel seen and heard and where every voice matters, regardless of title.

Outside of work, I recharge by spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, and practicing pilates and yoga.

I’ve always been curious about how things grow. As a child, I would watch ants and wonder how they communicated, or think about how a single cell becomes something complex and alive. That same curiosity eventually found its way into business. What really makes a company grow? Is it the people, the idea, the timing, and what is essential versus circumstantial?
‍

I started my career in investment banking, drawn to the intensity and exposure. But I quickly realized I wanted to be closer to the companies themselves; to follow their journeys over years, not months. Moving into private equity felt like a natural next step.

In 2007, at 32, I founded Alipes, a consumer-focused private equity fund. I remember the mix of fear & awe, and the energy. I wanted to build something meaningful and help shape some of the strongest consumer companies in the Nordics. It was a formative chapter, both professionally and personally.

After Alipes, I spent a few years with Advent International, working on larger transactions with global teams. It was an invaluable experience, but it also took me further from the companies themselves. Joining Vendis six years ago felt, in many ways, like coming home, back to partnership, long-term thinking, and close collaboration.

Today, I think about investing not just as growth and value creation, but as responsibility. Building strong companies also means building sustainable ones, simply businesses that leave a positive footprint.

Outside of work, I’m grounded by my family: my wife and our three children. We spend much of our time together through sports and shared adventures. And I’ve never lost that early curiosity; I remain fascinated by everything from psychology and biology to architecture. I even wrote a book on subjective well-being, another attempt to understand how things truly flourish.

I’ve always been motivated by understanding how businesses work and what drives their decisions. That curiosity led me to study business engineering, where the combination of economics and technical disciplines appealed to both my analytical side and my curiosity. Finance quickly drew my attention, not only for its rigor but for its pervasive influence on businesses and society.

I began my career in investment banking in London, drawn by the intensity and learning environment of one of Europe’s leading financial centers. Advising on complex transactions across different industries was demanding and formative. It strengthened my analytical skills and attention to detail, and showed me that trust and strong relationships are at the core of any successful deal. At the same time, I found myself increasingly interested in what happens beyond the deal itself: the longer-term decisions that drive operational improvement and sustainable growth. I realized I wanted to be closer to that phase and contribute to the ongoing development of companies.

Today, I work closely with founders and management teams to help shape the next stage of their growth. I am energized by the breadth of topics we engage with — from operations and logistics to marketing and commercial strategy — and by the opportunity to build alongside ambitious teams. Colleagues would likely describe me as curious and committed to continuous learning. Outside of work, I recharge through yoga and HIIT sessions, adventurous travel exploring new cultures and nature, and long dinners with friends.

I see myself as someone who brings structure and calmness to a fast-moving environment. I enjoy making things run smoothly behind the scenes, ensuring that processes are clear, details are correct, and people can rely on solid support. By nature, I am organized and hands on, and I take pride in contributing in a practical and consistent way.

My professional path has been shaped by nearly thirteen years in administrative and operational roles. Before joining Vendis, I spent nine years at Stolz Leder as a Commercial Administrative Assistant. There, I developed a strong sense of coordination, accuracy, and responsiveness, supporting daily business operations and acting as a reliable point of contact across teams.

Since August 2024, I have been supporting the Brussels office of Vendis as Administrative Assistant. In this role, I focus on ensuring that the office operates efficiently and that colleagues can concentrate on their core responsibilities. I value clear communication, structure, and professionalism, especially in a dynamic environment where priorities can shift quickly.

What motivates me most is being part of a team where everyone contributes in their own way. I believe that consistent support, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset make a meaningful difference in the overall functioning of an organization, and that is what I strive to bring to Vendis every day.

I’ve always been driven by curiosity. As a teenager, I took apart my brand new computer on the first day just to understand how it worked and could not put it back together. My parents were not impressed, but the instinct stayed with me. That early habit of questioning assumptions evolved from philosophy competitions at school into the way I approach investment decisions today. For me, understanding businesses is simply structured curiosity. It means looking beyond the surface to understand what truly drives a company.

During my studies, I explored different sectors but kept coming back to entrepreneurship. I was drawn to the space between strategy and execution, between seeing potential and working alongside founders and teams to help build it. That led me to start my career directly in private equity, joining a generalist fund where I had the opportunity to look across industries and develop a broad perspective. When the chance came to help open the German office of Vendis, curiosity took over again. It felt like stepping out of the spectator role and into one where I could help shape outcomes directly. I decided to take the leap and have been part of Vendis ever since.

Over time, I’ve learned that growing companies is never like a textbook. It’s a system of many small wheels that all need to move together and at the center of it all are people. No strategy works without the right conversations, trust, and shared ambition.

Today, what excites me most is the unique story behind every brand and the different dynamics surrounding it. Each company operates in its own context, with its own challenges and ambitions. Understanding those nuances and helping align the right pieces to create value is what makes the work meaningful. Outside of work, time with my family gives me warmth and perspective. My (new) passion for Fitness helps me clear my head and reset.
