The ultimate disc golf company
The House of Discs was launched in June 2022 with the goal of taking an active role in shaping the future of the ever-growing disc golf sport. Further building on Mountain Village, the leading producer and group uniting disc golf brands Latitude 64, Kastaplast and Westside Discs, the House of Discs is born with the ambition to build the ultimate disc golf company through organic and external growth levers.
Disc golf is a sport and recreational outdoor activity similar to golf but using discs thrown at a basket instead of balls and clubs. Like with regular golf, players aim to complete a course with the least throws possible. The sport is one of the fastest growing globally, supported by a loyal base of disc golf enthusiasts as well as a strong build-up of disc golf courses, most notably in the United States and Northern Europe.
Mountain Village was founded in 2005 in Skellefteå in Sweden by four former disc golf professionals and enthusiasts. The company is active in the production and sales of golf discs and other equipment under several own brands, mainly distributed through specialist shops, larger sporting good retail chains and increasingly online. Next to its own brands, Mountain Village also produces for other disc golf brands capitalizing on its unique disc production capabilities and knowledge of the sport.
Vendis Capital invested in Mountain Village in June 2022.
