Strategic Fundraising Consultant
Rikkert Beerekamp is Strategic Fundraising Consultant that supports the fundraising of Vendis Transition Fund, working remotely.
He has a longstanding career in mainstream private equity as LP, GP, and advisor, a.o. Alpinvest, Taros, Value Enhancement Partners and Avedon Capital Partners. In 2019 he re-directed his career to impact investing with the ambition to mobilize capital for impact at scale. He has been involved in several initiatives, Partner of Zamo Capital (GP direct fund for emerging impact managers), CIO of Aqua-Spark (global impact VC), Head of Business Development at Carbon Equity, as CIO of Phenix Capital Impact, and providing strategic advice to several other funds.
In 2019 he also founded Investment for Life, a foundation that operates 15 computer labs in Cambodia and provides thousands of underprivileged children with basic IT skills to boost their career opportunities.
He holds a MsC in Finance from Rijks Universiteit Groningen and an Executive Master in Financial Control from University of Amsterdam.
Rikkert enjoys skitouring, kitesurfing, and welding.
